QDU Rules

The QDU has updated the rules for the Competition. The changes include: a new requirement that affirmative teams provide a whiteboard marker clarification of the rules concerning late arrivals to short preparation debates clarification that debaters are not permitted to use electronic devices during debates clarification of what constitutes inappropriate language in debates. Amended topics

The QDU has amended two topics for round one of the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast 2015 competition. The Year 8 topic is now: 'That we should ban toys designed for (and marketed to) only one gender' The Year 12 topic is now: 'That we should ban school leavers from travelling overseas for "Schoolies" celebrations' The prospectus (available here) will be updated shortly to reflect these changes.
